Marea Brava is located along a 7-mile stretch of beach known as the "North Shore of Central America"... Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica. This boutique hotel and condo is situated near 4 major local breaks. Terrazzas, which was the surf spot for the 2009 Billabong World Surfing Games. Terrazzas is a heavy break with a steep drop and deep barrel.

For the beginner to intermediate surfer, there is Backyards or the Tree, good at high or low tides. Watch the current here, though the rips are not strong, a long-shore current can move you down the beach pretty quick if you're not paying attention.
